More topical areas of concentration would be contract law and litigation (civil procedure). Another interesting area of interest is right of privacy (can't use someone's likeness for commercial purposes without permission) -- usually discussed in the context of First Amendment (free speech, specifically). Luckily, contracts and civil procedure are typically first-year topics so you won't miss it. Patents will probably be useless to you. Trademarks might have some tangential relevance. There will probably be a class specific to entertainment law and will touch on all the topics that are pertinent to some degree. Good luck and have fun! Regards.
