Dear Ms. Wright,
Not every good idea is patentable and not every patent is going to give you the protection that you want.
A patent is expensive, and not difficult to get. There is a $100M a year industry getting patent for the unwary. Only 1 in 10,000 get back more money than they pay the scam operators.
Even legitimate Intellectual Property Lawyers may get you a patent.
Getting a patent is expensive, even a useless patent.
