Dear
Ms. Medina,
All lawyers in good standing can practice before ANY Federal Agency, except the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
With regard to patents a special examination must be passed before a lawyer and practice there.

When it comes to Doctors or Lawyers, that is a tough one. You have to be able to find one that you can trust and also afford.

I for one try to save clients money. Just getting a patent, even a WORTHLESS patent is expensive.

I start with a Reality Check® to try to save, time, money and worry. It is relatively easy, but expensive to get a patent. There are scam operators that promise to promote your patent. They don't say that even if they get a patent for you that only 1 in 10,000 get back more money than they pay.

There are legitimate Patent Lawyers that may encourage an inventor to file and even get a patent that is so easily avoidable that it has no value.

My book "Protect and Profiting From Your Business Ideas", is probably not available in any book store now.

The worst is that even a very GOOD patent may make money. I got a GOOD patent for a friend, we showed it to a BIG company. The patent was turned down. Then a industrial prize of $50,000,000 was offered for a similar device.

The company the patent was show to won the $50,000,000, with something that did not infringe the patent and was not as energy efficient.
