Jake : Dear Jake, : I didn't say anything about patent fees going up. Patents are expensive. My biggest concern it to protect inventors against getting patents that are of no value to them. That does not mean that every patent must make money. THERE ARE MANY PATENTABLE INVENTIONS THAT GET PATENTS BUT THE PATENTS ARE SO WEAK THAT THE INVENTION HAS WASTED MONEY FILING. : What is worse just having a good patent does not mean that you are going to make money. : One of the best patents I have ever gotten was shown to a company that won a Fifty Million Dollar Prize for turning out a non infringing product that was not as good as the patent the client had. : M.
