: Hello, : I am researching the economic implications of patent law, regarding a venture in which I plan to partake. : If anybody has any information or links I would thouroughly appreciate it. : Thank you : Matheos : President and CEO : MJS Distributions, Inc. The question is too vague. Our whole American prosperity and techical achievement has resulted from our patent laws which date back to 1790. Patents were provided for in the Constitution. Unfortunately it is not a question of getting a patent that counts. It is getting the Intellectual Property protection that give the best value. A weak patent may be worth its worth in gold for advertizing. A strong patent may not be commercialized. A trade secret may be better than a patent. An issued patent may give away technology without having claims broad enough to protect an invention. Try the Patent Page of this forum for links. M.
