: : You really are a shameless plug arent you Auslander...

: : You're a bottom feeding attorney who is intimidating inventors here as a means to get customers... pathetic.

: : C'mon, people, speak up, this guy wont give you any advice, he just wants your money, he has no business on this board!!!
: : If he wants to advertise he should register himself with the yellow pages or run commercials of the "used car salesperson" variety!!

: : AS for the gentleman lookign to write up a specification, here's a sound piece of advice for you, find a patent in your same field and study how it the specification is setup, plug in your material, and emulate. When it comes to claims though, get yourself an agent or attorney.
: : : : Okay, I need advice. I am writing up a patent and I need to know if I should include in my patent application the description of the invention plus the operation description seperately. I have noticed that in the majority of the patent applications I look at, that they combine both the description and operation description in the same section under description. In fact the name "operation" is never mentioned but instead implied.

: : : Dear Marcos,
: : : Unless you are an ex patent examiner, the chances of your writing a worthwhile patent are just about as good as if you go to a scam artist. The difference is that your main cost is your time.
: : : That is why we have the Reality Check®.

: Mr. A., "in the know" is right. The conversation that is provided by this forum in just that---conversation. Anyone that does not know will find out they need paid legal direction in dealing with any aspect of a patent. Your claim to fame is "what makes you think your idea is worth anything". No one should be discouraged from following a dream. You can't put a price on dreams. You take a hard line on every issue. Granted, I am sure we are not a smart as you, but do you feel good about abusing people for asking a question and just seeking out good conversation? You are not giving out life or death information. EASE UP!

Dear jld,
C'Mon, you do you own thing and I'll do mine. My whole Crusade is to keep inventors from spending money for patents which don't ever have a chance and making money.

That is where the Reality Check® comes from.
