If a person signs an employment agreement and develops a patent in his name but has it assigned to his employee, can he litigate for royalties with the case that there was no other company to work for and there really was no choice. It was either agree to the terms or seek employment elsewhere. The patent is the cigar lighter in every car and my father has since passed away. The family would like to inquire as to the potential for litigation since hte company he worked for for over 40 years was really the only firm he could work for since they controlled the market.
