Canadian IP Info request...anyone?

I am currently a Queen's Law student, interested in IP law. New to the subject area, so any advice is helpful...

1) Process for Canadian patent examination...?
2) Websites for IP law / patent agent info...?
3) Any "off the cuff" remarks concerning $, whether market is hot for IP law in Canada...etc?!
4) Whether a health science degree is valuable in such field?
