: During my second year in law school, after realizing I was completely disinterested in most of my law classes, I was blessed to discover one field that I truly enjoy--IP. From a practical standpoint, it seems that patent law is the ticket to a job at an IP firm. Consequently, I am considering going back to college after law school to get an electrical engineering degree (I was already interested in engineering). My question, though, is whether I may be better served by looking into biotech. Any suggestions? Also, has anyone ever heard of a law firm that allowed their new associates leeway to get the technical degree while working for the firm? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
