There is no sense without a clear picture of what you have and what you want to do with it. If an artistic design is involved then copyright or design patent may be of value. If there is some for of method or structure then patent may be of value. Not every new creatation is protectable. Not every form of protection necessarily give the protection you need. If it is new it should be protected before it is shown or used. M.
