Dear Rachel,
Thinking patents is a good way to get scammed out of several thousand dollar. Even with a legitimate patent practicioner, a patent is going to cost several thousand dollars.

The fact is that even a patent might not be worth it's salt. The whole picture has to be understood in order to sensibly deal with the risks. We call it a Reality Check® to save time money and worry.
