: If I get an issued patent on a gene sequence the respective amino acid sequence and the relevant protein and someone comes along and gets an issued patent on a "fragment" of that sequence for a "specific" protein which is exactly the same as my new protein then how can this person sleep at nights? : My patent was issued along time ago say 7 years for example before the recent uspto changes regarding est's and snps etc..
