: : : : Hi, can anyone tell me what a poor man's patent is and if they are legal? Thanks

: : : Dear Shiela,

: : : A "poor man's patent is an attempt to establish a date of invention.

: : : Most important is to know what can be done or not be done with and ides. There is a $100M+ a year scam industry getting people to file patent applications. Only one in ten thousand make more thay they pay. We provide a Professional Intellectual Property Lawyers service called Reality Check® to help inventors save time, money and worry.

Dear Sheila,

There are many ways of trying to do it. Call me and I'll explain. A poor mans patent is just a way of making a conficential record of disclosure. It is practically worthless in itself.
If you get a safe disclosure. You could still lose unless you diligently file a patent application.
