Thanks for the reply, but no need to be so flip about it.

I have no stake in this other than I know the facts, possess the prior-art, and can't stand to watch idly as someone gets away with patent fraud. I am not harmed personally, so there's no basis for a suit. Nor am I independently wealthy enough to incur the expense of litigation for the sole purpose of invalidating a patent of which I am not personally infringing on.

If the system has no way of allowing a citizen to step forward with pertinent information that affects the general good, and at no cost to them, then the system needs fixing.

Sorry I asked... this is obviously the wrong place to ask for an informed opinion without being solicited.

: : Is there a simple (and hopefully no-cost) procedure to challenge the validity of an issued patent, or to petition the Patent Office to have it revoked?

: : I have information on several patents that would invalidate them, but have no interest in going to court, as there is no financial harm to me personally.

: : And if the answer is "no", is a class-action a viable alternative?

: : Thanks in advance.

: Dear Patent Buster,

: No cost, try going to a bank and get money free. Reexamination and declaratory judgement are likely routes.
