I worked for an electronics-temperature control company. We designed and assembled temperature and lighting controls. I left the company and am working on a product design in a different market and control scenario than my previous employer. I am designing this product with a current employee of my former employer. Background: I was employed for 1 year. I never signed a confidentiality agreement. It has been 18 months since I last worked there. I am designing a control for the institutional market I am working with a present employee of the firm. The companies patent has run out. My ?'s are: 1. Can my ex-employer sue to stop my work if he finds out? 2. Is the current employee in danger of losing his job, if he didn't sign a non-compete form? 3. Is there a forum where I could call and talk to somone personally about this? 4. Urgent... I am applying for a grant this month. Please help if you know which direction I should go in before I waste to much time. Thanks!
