: : I have an Idea on a type of slot machine, and I need a patent. How would I go about receiving a patent?
Not every good idea is patentable and not every patent is going to give you the protection that you need. The first step it to determine if the invention is patentable. I prefer to look into that question as a "Reality Check" even before doing a patent search. It is important for you to keep the invention secret at least until a patent application is filed.
