I am a patent agent working for a pharmaceutical company
in the area of organic chemistry - small molecule pharmaceutical
compounds. I am planning to go to law school and my
question is whether it is "industry standard" for companies
to fund law school for patent agents. I know this is common practice
within law firms but wonder if this applies to the corporate
setting as well. I do know of several large companies that
do fund law school for patent agents but am wondering
whether this is to be expected in general. Any information
on this topic would be helpful.
