Patend or Trademark??

Hi And thank you for the services.
I own a restaurant thats been in my Family since 1967 and we have been making the same Salsa forever, People say they never tasted any other salsa so good, we sell it by the gallons, and i was wondering how to protect it so no one else could copy it.
