How long should I stay an examiner?

I have been a patent examiner in the biotech area for a
little over a year. I am a licensed attorney and will be taking
the patent bar in October. I do not have an advanced degree.
In light of my background and my experience thus far at the patent
office, how long do you think I should stay here before I pursue
jobs at law firms. Also, does anyone have any insight into the
job market right now for biotech attorneys (without advanced degrees)?
