Dear KH, It would be wise to know the state of the art as a guideline for the work you are doing. I was shock, not so long ago to have an inquiry about a device for a DC motor. I conducted a search and found a patent on the idential device issued in 1869. The inventor's invention could not be protected with a patent. I like the other answer you got here too. M.
