What is the risk of funning into inferential claiming? Dear Aphan, The question is too abstract to be clear. The specification must support the claim and the claim must be unambiguous insofar at the specification is concerned. The greater the inference of the claim the less likelihood of validity or applicability of the claim to the accused subject matter. If law was in absolutes there would be no need for lawyers. M.
