: : : hi. my name is karen i would like to know how to go about patenting a new idea

: : Hello, I want to paten a product - I want to do a search on the product - what is the best way?
: : What are the steps in getting a paten

Dear Ms. Cooper,

Use a Registered Patent Lawyer you can't trust. We usually do not even search if it does not look as if there is much that can be done or the invention looks unpatentable.

The first step usually is a search. We start with a Reality Check (sm)to save time money and worry.
Then if is seems appropriate we then do the patent search.
