I am a forth year Ph.D (Chemistry) student with a strong background in organic chemistry, protein chemistry and molecular biology and I should graduate within the year. Although I have been researching law schools and patent law for several years, I still have a question that could use some clarification. In particular, I was wondering if it would be better to attend a law school with a better overall ranking or better to attend a law school with an excellent intellectual property ranking? For example, assuming that both schools are in the top 50, would it be better to attend a school ranked 15th overall with a ranking of 40th in intellectual property or better to attend a school that is ranked 40th overall with an intelectual property ranking in the top 5. I realize that there is much, much more to law school value than just rankings, however I also realize that rankings are still important when applying for a job. I would appeciate any advice a great deal. Thank You
