They have, of course, forms and procedures for submitting a patent application. They can be pretty complicated, so you should check with a patent agent or patent attorney for assistance. The Patent and Trademark Office has a list of licensed agents and attorneys. The big question, however, is whether you can patent a new breed of dog. A patent can only be issued for a "process, machine, manufacture or composition of matter." Your patent attorney will have to check whether a new breed fits into one of these four patentable subject matters. Dear Barbie Darnell, It is recommended that you find a Registered Patent Lawyer you can trust anywhere in the US. There are scam agencies that make $100M+ getting people to file patent application, getting patents and promising to promote them. One in 10K makes more money than they pay. With our Reality Check (sm) You can save time money and worry. In the room that you are in an electric plug in the wall with equal blades and a fat end and a pinched end was patented by us and was on the Official Patent and Trademark Office Poster for the 200th anniverary of the Patent Law.
