The only guideline I was given was, "it does this"--sort of like if they were to say "design a time machine". Well, after a lot of creative thought and time, I came up with a way to do what they wanted; right down to detailed drawings. : : Now they say they would like to pay me royalties on the invention (they already do on another invention of mine), but that they want to apply for the patent themselves. : : Can they do this?
