: : I am trying to find out how to at least get a paten pending for a machine i designed and made. i need to at least get a paten pending or some form of protection. Dear Mr. Jock, Patents and patent applications are expensive. The practical and inexpensive way to start is with a Reality Check (sm), to sasve time, worry and money. You need the advice of a Patent Lawyer you can trust. You must also keep the invention secret to protect intenational patent rights. If you divulge or use before the first patent application is filed, no valid patent can issue in most countries of the world. M. Arthur Auslander
