: : Dear Matus,

: : I've seen the, "send it to youself", trick lose in court. Notarization might work. There may be a risk of destroying international rights.

: : It is important to have an agreement so there is clarity as between you. Have you ever thought of consulting an Intellectual Property lawyer you can trust.

: : The non compete seems close to a good idea but may miss the boat as far as good interpersonal protection is concerned.

: : Late legal advice usually costs and arm and a leg after things are all screwed up.

: : You really have to find an Intellectual Property lawyer you can trust, or two of them.

: : Lawyers are to clients as women are to men. You can live with them but you can't live without them.

: Thanks for the info. So at what point in this process should I seek legal advice. If one has some ideas
: they think might be viable, do you wait until you have a good mathematical proof of concept, or what? Can
: you give the board members here a quick synopsis of the process and what should be done?

: Thanks -

Dear Matus,

The earlier legal advice is sought the less chance of heavy trouble down the line. People with ideas should be armed in advance by being in touch with a competant Intellectual Property lawyer that can be trusted so they can be ready.

A pregnant woman should see the doctor before the labor. An inventor should know what to do, how to do it and where to go, at the flash of the light.

Combining creativity with a legal understanding saves time, money and worry.
