My aunt has me searching for ideas on how to get a patent, and I found quite a few sites on it. Try www.uspto.gov/web/offices/pac/design - it's for the US Patent and Trademark office. Also in that site they have names of lawyers to contact, and the basic step by step rules of getting a patent. (I guess that means you have to have a lawyer!) Sorry I can't help you with your specific question, but maybe that site will help you.
