Intellectual Property (IP) is seen as a vital component of the business. This commitment to IP and continuing investment in R&D as well as an increase in workload, have led for a need to further strengthen the IP resource within James Hardie Technology Limited. The company seeks a high calibre European, Irish or US Patent Attorney/Agent to be responsible for handling the IP activities across the technology business. The role is based in the company’s corporate headquarters in Dublin.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a business patent portfolio on a full range of patent and technology related matters, including original drafting, prosecution, invention harvesting etc.

Candidates will possess a good degree in Materials Science or Chemistry, be a qualified EPA, IPA or US Patent Attorney/Agent and be able to demonstrate a successful career to date, preferably in industry. A sound materials science/chemistry background is essential.

This key role requires an Attorney who is commercial and forward-thinking in outlook.
