Transcarbon International Corporation, founded in Silicon Valley in 2006 by Sébastien Raoux, is an independent consulting firm assisting the private sector, the public sector, the voluntary sector, and civil society in implementing sustainable development practices, including climate change adaptation and mitigation measures. Our leadership combines extensive experience in environmental sustainability —particularly in the areas of climate change, energy, and clean technologies—, as well as in business, legal, and public policy consulting. We serve our clients worldwide from our offices in the United States of America and Argentina, with Transcarbon Africa Middle East S.A.R.L based in Morocco and providing services in Africa and the Middle East.

We are currently seeking Legal Experts on Intellectual Property (IP) and International Patent Brokerage Transactions based in different regions of the world to join Transcarbon's technology transfer services division and collaborate in an exciting for-profit public interest project. The successful candidates will be accomplished professionals with over 15 years of professional experience in all aspects of intellectual property law and business transactions at the international level. We are looking for experienced licensing counsels, with a solid track record of complex patent licensing and sale deals facilitated, negotiated, and closed, whether on behalf of the seller or the buyer, to lead patent brokering transactions and provide IP advice, focusing on IP strategies and patent monetization. Retired or semi-retired professionals with established networks of relevant contacts --willing to engage in a part-time occupation on a flexible schedule that may require some occasional traveling-- are most welcome.

The experts would be joining a multicultural team of highly talented individuals, initially committed as part-time consultants. Remuneration will consist of consultancy fees per day of work and success fees based on deals concluded (commissions on sales).

Requirements:

1. Outstanding academic background and professional credentials are essential. Must have an advanced degree in Law,a history of good standing in relevant professional associations, and a thorough understanding of innovation protection, appraising and transferring of Intellectual Property (IP) patent assets, processes for selling patents, IP marketplace, key technologies and actors (IP owners, buyers and brokers), IP law and policy standards, competition, markets, and industry trends in clean technologies.

2. At least 15/20 years of relevant work experience. The required Intellectual Property expertise includes: -- Patent valuation, -- Patent brokering transactions, -- Patent claim drafting and prosecution, -- Trademark filing advisory and prosecution, -- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating IP licenses, --Patent litigation.
Additionally, the candidate's sectoral expertise should concentrate on green technologies, particularly on renewable energy and low-carbon technologies, and specific knowledge of relevant institutions, as well as of the policies, laws, and regulatory framework applicable to climate change and low-carbon technology transfer transactions.

3. Strong work ethics and superb communication skills. Oral fluency and superior written skills in English is a must. Spanish, French, Portuguese, and generally any other languages with native fluency are highly desirable.

4. Must be based in any major city in the world with easy access to an international airport and be willing to travel occasionally as required.
