Job Description: |
Purpose:
Provide assistance in management of IP matters inclusive of Invention disclosures, Patents, Trademarks, Contracts, Copyrights and Oppositions. Perform prior art patent searches and report. Coordinate and assist in overall maintenance of IP portfolio, physically and electronically. Maintain, prepare and manage documents filed with both the US and international patent authorities. The ideal candidate is computer savvy, energetic, flexible, and highly organized. Key Accountabilities:
o Track and review Invention disclosures. Maintain a data base and ensure timely processing
o Coordinate, set-up and overall maintain IP Portfolio inclusive of Patents, Trademarks, Contracts, Copyrights and Oppositions
o Perform prior art patent searches and reviews for evaluating invention disclosure and/or right to practice analysis
o Prepare IP summary documents, reports, and presentations Education/Technical Knowledge/Experience and Skill Requirements:
o BS or equivalent degree with at least 5 years of experience
o Minimum of 3 years experience in the area of Intellectual Property with a company, law firm and/or legal department.
