POSITION SUMMARY The Licensing Attorney will participate in all aspects of licensing including evaluation of patents for licensing in, the development of the company's patent portfolio for licensing out, and licensing negotiations. The Licensing Attorney will also support patent litigation and IPR due diligence investigations in corporate acquisitions. RESPONSIBILITIES The Licensing Attorney will be responsible for a broad range of patent related work. Responsibilities include handling patent assertions, handling patent licensing matters and supporting patent litigation. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS - Licensed Patent Attorney with at least 4 years work experience dealing with licenses, patent assertions, patent prosecution and patent litigation support
- Experience as an engineer in the electronics/telecommunications industry is desirable
- Undergraduate background in either electrical engineering or computer science
- Previous experience working as a patent attorney for a wireless manufacturer or high technology company in the telecommunications industry or at a law firm serving wireless or telecommunications industry companies necessary If you're driven to take wireless technologies to the next level, it's time you join the team at RIM.
