Hello everyone,

Just joined today.. I have a question..

I have an idea where I take things (implements) that already exist in the marketplace and throw all together in a new and innovative way to serve a underserved market. I intend to bring it to market and then franchise it.

Is this patentable?

Without knowing the specifics of your invention, there is no way to know if it is patentable.  Do not provide such details in this forum.

What I'm trying to find out is can you patent a concept?

All the elements of the concept already exist in the marketplace but no-one has thrown them all together in the way that I intend to.

Again I ask, is the concept patentable?

Hypothetically the product and/or process resulting from your idea could be patentable.  If truly novel and "non obvious," it should be patentable.

Yes and No.
If your concept leads to a product and/or a method, which is useful, concrete and tangible, then maybe yes.  It may be worth pursuing further.
