Question about single word trademark

Is a "drawing" or "image" required when electronically filing a US Federal registration for a trademark that consists of only a single word? This would not be a design or stylized, just one word. I've seen conflicting information, so just hoping that someone who actually knows would confirm. Thank you!

If you file electronically using eTeas, it will generate the "mark drawing" for you, which is just the word typed out.
