How much does a run of the mill software patent cost? Also, if I have a new piece of software that allows a child to pick certain things and download content, is the patent in the way the child uses the software w/ the computer?

| You could claim your invention from the perspective of the child. However, do you plan on suing the children for infringement? A better approach would be to claim your invention from the perspective of the software or the machine executing the software.

You can also include some kind of system claim as well, one with a server etc. It is hard to determine how much a software invention would cost without looking at it, however, probably in the range of 8-12K, depending on the firm you chose. Regards,
