Hi,

I would like to know when the invention notes are attested by a witness, how soon this should be done after the notes are written. I understand that it is preferable to get this done ASAP, but in practice what is the trend ?

There is no specific number of days within which a notebook entry must be corroborated.

The date that the document is witnessed is typically considered the date the work was done.  So in the absence of other evidence, if the inventor signs the notebook page on January 1, and the page is corroborated on February 1, then it would be difficult to argue that the work was done before February 1.
