Using some one's IP while in school...

I have been looking all over for some answers. Hopefully you all can help. I am a college student in CA. I am protected by the educational license to use other companies' intellectual property (for non commercial use) while in school. However, if some of their IP is showcased in my portfolio, and that portfolio gains me employment, am I violating their IP policy?

Thank you very much for your time,
Reed

Please explain: "I am protected by the educational license to use other companies' intellectual property (for non commercial use) while in school."

Is that a general statement you are making?

Are you referring to a software EULA?
