You can purchase a book of 'The Patent Act 1970 (Published by Universal's, for information - visit ww.unilawbooks.com) Study MPEP, various sections and rules including forms used for various purposes, formats of PoA, petitions, licensing agreement. If you study the above things and have at least a minimum knowledge of drafting a patent application, you should be able to easily pass the exam. Regards,

Thanks Ram and Nv. I have begun my studies from the Patent Act, 1970 and would follow it up with the MPEP. Another colleague recommended to enrol for the online course from http://www.brainleague.com/offering.htm. It cost 7000 INR/ Do you think its worth? Also, there is no info on the scheduled Indian Patent exam in September on the Indian Patent office website. Do keep me updated on that, in case i miss the deadline for filling forms etc.

There is no any specific book for drafting, it is all the matter of practice so you can learn by reading the patent documents and try to draft your self any dummy patent for your confidence.
