I need to make a few slight revisions to my specification. If I understand correctly, I strike through the deleted text and underline the new material? Is this correct? Anything else I should be doing? Just a few words and a few sentences. Thanks for your feedback.

That's basically all you need to do with the exception that you also need to identify where the replacement section is to take place. For example: "Please replace paragraph [018] with the following entry:" - assuming that the spec has numbered paragraphs. Another example: "Please replace the second paragraph beginning on page 2, line 16 with the following entry:" Although not required, you can also use double brackets ([[ ]]) to indicate text to be deleted if that text is 5 or less characters. The idea behind this is to more emphatically identify small areas of text to be deleted. More info here: http://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/pac/mpep/documents/appxr_1_121.htm

Welcome! Perhaps it also bears mentioning that you need to provide the text of the entire paragraph and not just the sentence in a paragraph that you are amending.
