Title: Law school courses question.
Post by Jack_2007 on Aug 3rd, 2007, 3:28pm
Can you give me an inside knowledge about the course offered in Law school, assume an engineering background for a entry level IP.

For example, how does the Patent law courses teach in Georgy washington University? do they have an impact on your daily practice?

Generally, any patent course you take in law school will only cover the basics.  Some schools have a focus on patent law and even have some patent proseuction classes (mine did).  Most schools, however, just have IP topics courses which will help you get by and impress non patent pros, but will not replace good old fashion experience.

I think GW is one of those school with a strong IP offerring.  Anyways, good luck.
