BSME/IP Law Question

I read on this forum that BSME w/ Law Degree would not do well in the job market for IP Law. I graduated University of Texas at Austin in 2006 with a 3.48 GPA. I currently work at the PTO and hope to go to Georgetown Law. Assuming I do well at Georgetown, why would I not have a great chance at IP Law?

Because it is assumed that anyone can write mechanical patents and so they will put your job off on someone else.

You however cannot write electrical patents.  Hence some majors are more valuable than others.

I know firsthand, ended up going back to finish my physics degree for those reasons.

If you graduate GULC, I wouldn't worry too much about job opps.

You'll be fine.  The most important factor in determing if you'll land a job is your personality.  Your undergrad background isn't as critical as many on this board make it seem.  EE's draft ME applications and ME's draft EE applications.
