A: Not enough.
Where I used to work as a "patent facilitator," everyone who became a patent facilitator had been an engineer or scientist. When a person transferred into the patent role it was typically a lateral move. For example, if you were a Engineer 3 and switched roles, you became a Patent Facilitator 3, the pay would be the same. Many patent facilitators worked in that role for a couple of years, then transferred back to a more traditional technical role. Some others moved up the ladder on the patent side.
You were probably looking for a dollar figure ... sorry, I can’t help you with that.
