Just wanted to know how much can a patent agent with no prosecution experience start at? I recently passed the patent bar and after looking at the jobs available, everyone seems to be asking for a minimal of 2-5 years experience, with sometimes one.

I do have a lead on a local firm and they "scantily" might be interested. They want to know what my starting salary requirements are. I can only say that I have about 15 years experience in the electronics industry with 5 years of that as an engineer. Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks. OTS.

Hmm, no experience ...

If you are in a blue state, you might be able to ask upwards of 70K if you are incredibly lucky.

If you are in a red state, don't expect more than 45-50K with no experience. Again, this is if you are incredibly lucky.
