Salaries for in-house patent lawyers

I've become interested in being an in-house patent attorney because I'm not sure if striving to become a partner is the route for me.  I know that nowadays companies are looking for people that have firm experience, but my question is what starting salary can you expect from a company if you come in with 3-5 years of firm experience?  Any figures that you have will be appreciated (beginning salary, median, maximum, etc.)

If you will contact me off-line, I can help.  I just left an in-house counsel position at a major laboratory.
