I guess, AIPLA should restructure its organization to accomodate patent agents and patent examiners! They should probably amend their by-laws! Just a suggestion!

" I got an application (again) in the mail yesterday for AIPLA. As a patent agent, I have no interest in paying the full membership dues just to be an affiliate. | If we put aside the issue of patent agents not being able to vote or hold office, is membership in AIPLA of any use to a new patent agent to justify the $? E.g., networking, job posts, additional training...?

| Oh sorry, Jonathan, it is a different, but almost identical post. But the main complaint there is also that patent agents don't get to vote and don't get to hold office. So my initial question still stands. If I'm not concerned about being a second class member, are there benefits helpful for a brand new agent?
