writing skills

I know good writing skills are required for patent agent/attorney jobs and my writings aren't as good as I would like to. So what are the chances to become patent agents for people like me who have poor writing skills but still like to write? I have strong technical background and have a number of years in biology research (postdoc + PhD).  If I am able to secure a patent agent/tech specialist kinda job, the training I get from the law firm would siginificantly improve my writings at least for patent prosecutions?

I don't believe a law firm would be a nurturing, patient environment for learning general writing skills.   If your problem areas include weak grammar or composition skills, a writing course such as the type taught at junior/community colleges might be a more nurturing experience.

You like to write, and that is a positive thing because your skills will improve with practice and some direction.  Good luck.
