Undergraduate Engineer considering Patent Law

I will be graduating in a couple weeks with a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering.  I'm really interesting in a career in patent law but I'm just not sure about some of the details or even how realistic it is.
1)  With merely an undergraduate degree, is it going to be difficult getting a patent law job after law school?  Assuming I go to mediocre law school in the NJ/NYC area, like Rutgers or New York Law.
2)  If I get a JD is it necessary to pass the Patent Bar to be considered for a lawyer position after graduation?  Or is the Patent Bar specifically for those who want to be a Patent Agent?
3)  Is it a good idea to get some experience as a Patent Agent or a Technical Specialist before pursuing a career as a Patent Lawyer?
Thanks a lot.  I really appreciate any information anyone can give me.

The patent bar exam is required for patent agents and patent
attorneys who want to prosecute patent applications before
the patent office.
IMO an undergraduate degree in EE is sufficient technical background
for an attorney seeking a patent attorney position, but your
grades and what school you attended might make a difference.
Similarly, your law school grades and the pedigree of your law
school are also important.
