I am a recent law grad. I am an inexperinced patent agent. How much is a starting hourly salary for a guy like me as an agent? I heard it is about $ 50? But I don't belive it since the market is so bad. Should I get a job for $ 20 /hr as a patent agent?

Thanks you all.

Can't answer your salary questions but you can easily make yourself more marketable by presenting yourself as a patent attorney, albeit an inexperienced one.

Just fill out the correct from from the Office of Enrollment and Discipline (OED) of the USPTO to change your status from agent to attorney. I believe there is no charge to do that.

The poster never said he was licensed as an attorney so perhaps
telling him to change his registration is premature.

In addition to filling out the form, you are also required to
submit a certificate of good standing from the highest court
in the state (or District of Columbia) in which you are
licensed.
