Title: what to do with 'unofficial' score of 68% Post by ray.nyls on Jan 3rd, 2008, 5:39pm the nightmare no one one to hear (or think of) - i took the test for first time today and got an 'unofficial' computer socre of 68%... obviously extremely dissapointing especially realizing ONE QUESTION now could mean another month or two of this nightmare... very interested to hear other people's experience with this - what do you do? is there any likelihood "official" score you get in the mail "in due course" reflects a different score (i need just one question) what are the options for appeal? i did notice that on prior paper examinations, typically about 3/4 questions were 'screwed up' and so PTO gives credit for all answers (saw this on almost every test from 2000-2003), is that a possibility on the computer version? while it is true it's just my opinion and can be in my head, i thought there were at least 3 questions where i knew the material and the answers recited something contradictory to the mpep... please share what you did if you have been in this situation, or know others who were in similar predicament. thanks |

Title: Re: what to do with 'unofficial' score of 68% Post by smgsmc on Jan 3rd, 2008, 6:31pm This question has popped up many times. The answer is start prepping for round 2. I think there's only one special circumstance reported here...one guy's computer crashed repeatedly. He had to take the test again, but he didn't have to pay a second round of fees. |
