Title: from tech to patent agent

My goal is to get out of my dead end job as a lab tech and double my salary at least within a couple of years.

Is becoming a patent agent with only a BS in Biology and 4 years of lab experience at a top research university possible? or does one need to go to the MS or PhD level?

What would be starting salary for an agent with only a BS in biology?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
